The usual "this is your second notice" credit card scam phone call. I've gotten where I throw the number in Google as fast as possible and decide to answer the call based on what I can easily find. That and I have an audio file that plays the disconnect tone and message from the phone company.
According to the website callercenter.com (http://www.callercenter.com/360-322-6684.html), 360-322-6684 is managed by a company called International Telcom, Ltd. and the number is an Arlington, WA number. I have emailed International Telcom Ltd. warning them that, as they are profiting financially by providing service to a company that is violating Federal law (by calling people on the do-not-call list), they could find themselves as the defendants in a rather nasty class action lawsuit and that I doubt they could find a jury in the U.S. that would sympathize with their position. If enough people started protesting to the telephone service provider, perhaps they would cancel their service--especially if they thought they were going to get sued. Just a thought but, are there any enterprising lawyers out there who would like to take up the challenge?
Got call = didn't answer ID showed Bankcard Sucs 360 322-6684. Thanks to other's who left detailed posts. I read them all. Very helpful. Thanks to this site that allows us to post also. To those that monitor your service is greatly appreciated.
The gent on the phone dropped obscenities and referenced the MKUltra program when I asked for his call center in-house counsel and / or compliance manager. INSTANT violations of the DNC Act, as well as calling numbers on it for non-transactional purposes.
received a call from this number. pressed 1 to see what it was about. I asked the guy which card and he said "all of them" I asked how he got my number, and he hung up
