I also get these calls everyday and the bad thing about it that it is probability one of those dumb contracts like you say that President Obama approved and we are paying for this service with our tax dollars. Then you call back and get crappy service for your money. Just another way the Government is wasting our hard earned money.
If you have a name and phone number you can go to the do not call registry and lodge a complaint which is supposed to get the caller stopped (how long it would take and how long it would last is anyone's guess). Usually I get calls from "UNKNOWN CALLER" or "PRIVATE CALLER" with no phone number, so you can't contact the do not call registry to complain. However, MIK CO (or whoever they are) doesn't seem to be so smart. Go to the registry and lodge a complaint against the number and whatever name they're using. Maybe if enough of us complain, something will get done about it. Keep your fingers crossed!
So basically, our tax dollars are going to pay for ridiculous phone spammers despite being on the national do not call list. Nice. I'm on the President's mind? He's concerned about my finances? Then stay out of my paycheck! I seriously doubt I need to refinance the mortgage I've never had. My kid is at camp out of state, so I took an emergency break at work to take the call. Wanna help me out? Don't risk my job by spam calling me for something you were too lazy to research! Some of us are expected to WORK.
