Just received a call from this number, caller ID said Final Notice. This is not application to any transactions I have so I didn't answer it. Added number to my blocked number list. This is obviously a scam. Do not give personal or financial information to them. No reputable company lists their caller ID as Final Notice.
Just got one of these calls from a fast-talking woman with a foreign accent who claimed to be calling about my Hyundai Warranty. Same details as the other victims... supposedly sent NUMEROUS notices that my warranty was due to expire (vehicle is only 3 years old and has less than 9000 miles on it). She wanted to know if I'd like to hear my options, and I simply replied "No". She asked if I wanted to listen to a recording of my available options, I replied "No". She disconnected without saying anything else.
I tried calling back - "all lines are busy" recording. Had the local Police try to call, and it never even rang at the other end, just a dead line. You KNOW they're shady if they block the Police Department phones !!!
Female called and identified herself as the "dealer service department" asking if we drove a certain year/make/model of a car. Without answering her question, I asked what she wanted. She said she was closing out the warranty file and again asked if we drove this car. I asked if she worked for the car manufacturer. She said, 'hello, hello' as though we were disconnected and then she hung up. This is likely a phishing scam.
Just got a call from some man claiming to be with Buick GMC saying they were about to close out my warranty file because it is expiring and when I replied there is no way the warranty is expiring he mumbled something and hung up. Definitely not legitimate. Very sketchy.
