Phone call from this number leaves voicemail to call back, stating the IRS is filing a law suit and this is their final notice. THIS IS A SCAM! IRS WILL NOTIFY YOU BY CERTIFIED US MAIL if there is a problem.
Afternoon call from "Fax Global." Message says "We have been trying to reach you, the IRS is bringing a lawsuit against you. This is a final notice. Please call back at _________________." Nancy is right on! The IRS does not conduct business by telephone. Also be wary of calls purporting to be your bank or a creditor seeking to confirm account data. They have your data, and would not use the telephone for this purpose in any event.
Received a call from 413-685-5587 telling me that the IRS was going to sue me and advising me to call the 360 number. Obviously a scam, as the IRS doe snot operate this way.
