Called my cell said he was from USA government and since I paid my bills I got a $7000 grant that I don't have to payback ... Couldn't understand half of what he was saying he was soooo foreign told me to call his supervisor at 360-369-6307 to confirm I wanted money western union to me and I would have it today .... Lol
I literally just received the same call with the same scenario: From the US Federal Government. Only it was 7K grant funds since I was not a criminal and had not filed bank bankruptcy.l He told me to call his superviser right now on 360-369-6307. I asked him his name and he said Jason Williams. He did not sound anywhere close to an american name.
THIS IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT FALL for it!!!
Being I work with "government grants", I knew their 7K spill was full of bull. Please do not allow yourself to be a victim to identity theft. They will tell you to call 360-369-6307 for a western union check.
HELLO - when has the government ever offed a check by Western Union?? Does that make any sense to you.
Being they continued to blow my cell phone up today (from a unknown number). I called the 360-369-6307 and spoke to a foreign man. Once I told him that I work hand and hand with the government and asked him for his federal badge / branch number, he immediately changed his spill to saying that I had called his "pizza restaurant" and that he was going to sue me for billion dollars for the harassment of my questions.
Hope this note saved someone from being a victim.. There is no grant... This is identity theft ~
I got a call from this number today as well. Same story, 7k. The man asked what card I would like to receive the money on, and I immediately got freaked out (too good to be true for sure, plus guy was shady), said I didn't have that information on me. But he knew my name and my address, and told me to call his manager and gave me a grant confirmation number. I'm a little afraid because I accidentally said the name of my bank, although didn't give any other info. Should I call my bank in case?
