I kept getting calls from this number so I'm answered. A lady with a really thick Indian/Pakistani accent asked for me, and I told her I was my roommate. LOL After that she hung up without saying anything. Obviously she was trying to scam me. They need better [***] to do.
This number keeps calling me...5+ times every day. Finally answered and they said they had money for my college education, I've graduated from college. Could not understand man very well since he had a thick Indian accent.
They call me all day long. The people are obviously not american. They are obviously reading lines. And say they are from the U.S. Government, and I've been randomly selected to receive money from the U.S. Government, lol. Yeah right!!
This Indian guy has called me multiple times from multiple numbers over the last 3-4 weeks. Saying the government has free money for me. I said I was not interested. He started yelling at me and said he did not understand why I did not want this free money. I did not need to buy anything. I said Sir I just am not interested. He started cursing at me and I told him there was no reason for that kind of language and he hung up on me. Very disrespectful and he called me!
Last Friday (8/5) I kept getting calls from this number; the name "Jeremiah" showed up. I kept intentionally disconnecting the call or letting it go to voicemail. I was away for part of the weekend, so I don't know if they tried again during that time. The calls started again yesterday; this time the name "Alan" shows up. I just disconnected another one. Plan to keep doing this, until they stop - hopefully for good.
