Showed up as "Allen, John & We" 360-427-1281. The name seemed familiar so I picked up but was a man saying they were going to be in the area installing wireless security systems. I could hear another voice in the background talking & quickly figured out it was probably some kind of phone bank and said not interested and remove my name from your list. When he hung up abruptly I knew he was a scammer. I have no idea if the number/name is legit although there is someone with that name and number who is a general contractor. Maybe they spoofed it? I'm not going to check it out.
Caller listed as Allen John Wend. Told my answering machine that his company was installing 20 free wireless security systems in my area, he only need verify that I was the homeowner and not a renter. He kept talking on like he thought I answered. I then looked the number here, and was reassured it most whole-heartedly is a scam.
