Claims to be Advanta Bank for debt collection related to an Advanta business account in my name. Claims that they are calling because I failed to respond to a settlement offer they sent me in the mail.
They have my business info and last 2 digits of my SS#. Knowing that Advanta no longer exists, and there were class-action suits filed against Experian for inaccurate debtor information (Michael Dreher v. Experian), it made me suspicious.
I told them to mail any correspondence and proof of debt to my mailing address. I will also be reporting them to the FTC for attempting to collect on a debt I do not owe, as well as using spoof local phone numbers to robocall my cell.... Iknow, good luck with that.
