This one actually left a computer voice voicemail about how I am going to be arrested by "the cops" if I don't call back etc. The English wasn't correct, if someone is in that big of trouble you get certified mail-not a voicemail, and no one official says "cops" anyway. I blocked the number on my cell. The voicemail was cut off in the beginning so I didn't hear who it was from or what i supposedly did wrong.
called and left a message about taking legal action about a claim against me. I called back and an Indian man answered the phone saying he was from the IRS. scam since the irs only contacts through mail
Received a vmail from this Vancouver, Canada number stating I needed to call back to prevent "legal action" being taken....OK. I live in Chicago....so not bothering to call back on what is an obvious scam effort.
Same here. I had a vm was thinking oh my what did i do...i called, indian man answered. I asked what the call was in reference to and he askd if i was (such nd such) i said no but they said oh you will not longer receive calls. I said wait... he hung up. I called back becus my phn is in such nd suchs name. So caller ID??? Cuz we sharw lines under one account holdee. Whn i askd how they got my number he hung up again. So yea scam.
Received VM from IRS Security Department to contact them immediately. I dialed the number and an Indian guy was having a conversation with someone else; it was like I was added to a three-way conversation. The other caller used the name of Mohammad in his conversation. I hung up after the two having the conversation knew I was on the line and not saying anything. I called back six times to piss him off. This is obviously a scam.
