12/15/15 rcvd automated phone message from 360-450-0150 Vancouver, WA. Message stated that the IRS was filing a suit against me and to call this number immediately. I believe this is a SCAM! no government office - local or federal - will initiate a contact by phone; they only do it with a letter.
A message was left on my answering machine -- a bad connection with a female voice stating that the ITS was starting a law suit against me and to access the case file I needed to call the number 360-450-5227. Needless to say, I did not call that number. It is important for folks to know that no government office - local or federal - will initiate a contact by phone; they only do it with a letter.
I am so glad to find this website as I was looking to find who had that number and learned that I was not alone in receiving the call.
Jennifer who also received the call and called the number, maybe should change her phone number because the call was very likely from a robo-calling system to learn what numbers were good for future use. I don't really know, but certainly the number should be considered highly suspicious.
