was getting calls from a 206-822-1764 number yesterday 3 times they called about the IRS and a lawsuit against me i blocked the number because i am in good standing with the IRS so did not get nervous from the call now today they are calling from this phone number
received the same call from "IRS Services" 360 464 8693 stating that this was the Official final notice and that the IRS was filing a lawsuit. You are right the IRS doesn't call only mail.
Got the call, 4 times in 3 days. The recorded voice left the lawsuit threat. I knew it was bogus, but called back anyway just to see how thick they were going to lay it on. They knew my name and address, but the guy could barely speak passable English , and hung up on me when I told him he had the wrong zip code. Just the fact that he told me who I was, and supplied me with my correct address is more than a little creepy. It never got past the zip code issue, so I have no clue how much more personal info they had/have on me. Guess I'll be calling Lifelock now. This is all I needed. Sheesh
Recorded message left in the A.M. last 2 days. Threatening IRS law suit; really! Told my husband, this is definitely a scam, as IRS does not make initial contact by phone, they use USPS. Just block the number if you can.
I got a call from these idiots early this morning, same scam message, claiming to be the IRS threatening to take me to court. I called them back a couple of hours later and spoke to some guy with a thick Indian accent, I pretended to be scared by the message they left, and he was instantly interested in getting my personal info. I couldn't hold it any longer, called him a scam artist and not a good one, where he could shove his threats and laughed, cursed him, then hung up the phone and blocked his number. I feel so much better now....lmao
