Got 2 of these calls right back to back with this number and another at 360-474-3906, both said the same thing Lower Interest Rates. Bothw ent to answerign amchine dn nothign said, deleted both of the numbers> I don't answer unknown numbers to me and they don't like my message I have on there.If you can't leae a message, don't bother calling...even my friends get pissed at it....but they do leave a message..
Caller ID shows LOWER INTEREST. Call came in at 12:02. When I answered there was no one on the line. Based on the previous entries related to this number, I will block it with my phone carrier. That will prevent them from completing another call to me.
This is all the same fraudulent scam that's been going on for years now- they just re-route the calls using dozens (or even hundreds) of fake phone numbers, which are impossible to trace. It's a computer-assisted game which will be impossible to shut down unless the feds devote huge resources (and $$) and this is simply not a priority. And every time they get one incompetent person to give them a real credit card #, they steal as much as they can and move on.
I report all these calls on the DoNotCall complaint page, but the FTC has almost NO enforcement resources (thanks to the obstructionist Tea Party/GOP wing-nuts), so don't expect your government to help with this annoyance. Sorry about that- maybe we COULD use a few more regulations & enforcement of laws that actually protect people.
FWIW, my Caller ID said "V07181122150038," but this number changes every time. And the originating phone number (worthless, due to illegal re-routing) also changes. We'll never stop these people unless the FBI gets invvolved and makes it a high priority. That'll happen when some Senator's elderly mother gets ripped off......
Got a call this morning, July 18, 2012, at 10:09 am. It was a recorded message offering to lower my interest rate. The message did not give the name of the firm that called. My caller ID said "Lower Interest".
I turned in a complaint to donotcall.gov. I believe this is the only time they have called me although I got a similar call yesterday from a different number.
