Called my cell at 7:57 this morning. Getting sick of all the harassing calls I have been getting. Used to never get this sort of calls on my cell. What is going on all of a sudden?
You folks will use any opportunity you have to spread your message of hate. Why didn't you speak up when George W. and his criminal co-hort Cheney were ripping of America, and starting us towards the worst economic disaster in the country's history ??.
As much a I detested Clinton, at least he left us with a balanced budget, and low unemployment.
I was called for a "political survey" by the following number: 360-474-3940 (seems to be Political Opinions of America". An automated system asked me to answer 3 quick questions (What policy would best serve America, Which party I'd vote for, and whether I approve of Obama's performance.
I was also told up front that I had "won" a 2 day cruise to the Bahamas, and after the 3 questions, I was put in touch with an operator who claimed to work for Caribbean Cruise Lines. He congratulated me for winning, and asked for my VISA number to charge the "port fee" of $181, and that some additional fees would be charged when I actually booked the trip - The most suspicious was the "oil surcharge fee" to be charged **if** the price of Oil was above $40 per barrel - Oil prices have been at around $100/barrel for almost a decade. He also tried to upsell me a flight to Palm Beach Florida (where the cruise leaves from).
The whole thing smelled like a scam so I asked him to provide a number I could call back so I could check up on it first, but he said I would lose my free cruise. So I hung up. ...no free cruise :(
Was this a scam? I'm on the Do Not Call Registry, doesn't this violate that?
