Call came over my cell and I never take part in these types of calls, I was feeling patriotic and took the survey. At the end of the automated survey a male came on the line, introduced himself as a 'cruise specialist' and said that he could not hear me. I said, "awe... y'all tricked me!" he chuckled, said he'd call back and then promptly hung up. How is it that he heard me call him out but not 'hello'?
Just got the same call; did not answer; no message left. If they are offering some kind of cruise, as someone said above, they obviously (1) aren't a political survey; (2) are selling something, and (3) have no regard for the DNC list. remember, people, there ARE exceptions to the DNC list, one of which is political surveys and, I believe, non-profits, as well as firms with whom you already do have business. Anyway these guys look like none of these and are just another scammer, apparently.
With my pre-pay setup (I am not in the country long enough to have a 2-year contract) I have to PAY every time these phishers call—daily now! I am on DNC list, but doesn't seem to do any good. I did not answer, no message left.
This is one of many political-survey calls I've been receiving over the past 48 hours. Apparently they have no regard for respecting the "do not call" registry lists. Anyhoo, if you ignore it and then call back the number right way, wait for the automated messaging to begin and then press "1." Another automated message will start, stating that your number will be permanently removed. Not sure if they will actually follow through with this declaration, but hey it's worth a shot.
What kind of "Political Survey" offers a free cruise? Any caller that doesn't leave a message or identify themselves on caller ID is not legit. A curse upon them and their families.
