What a joke. Called me twice today. Bearly speak any English. Told me I owe $50,000 in back taxes and the police will come in 1 hour to arrest me and I will spend 5 years in prison. Serious? Is that how IRS does it?
Some guy from India called stated that I owed the IRS five thousand dollars for taxes from 2009 Through 2015. He said that an email and a letter had been sent and ignored. He stated that if I hung up the phone that the police was arrest me. My tax man advised me to call IRS Hotline.
Recieved 2 voicemails yesterday with what I think is a pre-recorded message saying I need to call this number about an IRS law suit. I thought it sounded suspicious and the other comments confirm this. I don't plan to call back.
