Automated voice message from IRS stating a lawsuit is being filed against me. A number was given to call immediately, I did, but number did not work. I just laughed, I played the message back several times so I could laugh some more! It was funny to me but maybe not to an eldery person that doesn't understand scammers.
call and said they are the IRS and they are sueing me. also called and left same message from a different number yesterday 630-668-9832 left same recorded message.
I also received a message on my answering machine. Just said they were the IRS calling. Didn't think it was legitimate but called back to be sure. Got a foreigner that I could barely understand and was told if I didn't want to be arrested I could make payment arrangements today for about $4000. I told them I wasn't paying a dime until I saw something in writing and they hung up. DEFINITELY A HOAX. DON'T GET SCAMMED.
This caller tried same scam claiming to be from IRS.. So primitive, but some may fall for this. Got another phony call from 408-256-7008 claiming to be IRS agent Kevin. Be very careful. Real Scammers
