I received an automated call similar to the others (mine was on July 25 at about 9 pm). This one said that they were Peoples Bank. My card had been suspended and I needed to call their security dept. to re-activate it. I do not have an account at this bank but I called to make sure that someone hadn't opened one there using my identity. They verified that this was not a valid number for their security dept. and that they would notify their actual security dept. of this issue.
CALLER WAS AUTOMATED STATING THEY WERE FROM SECURITY AT A LOCAL BANK AND THAT MY CARD WAS DEACTIVATED AND I SHOULD ENTER THE ACCOUNT NUMBER TO REACTIVATE MY CARD.
I HAVE NO CARD AND FEEL THIS IS A PHONE SCAM TO STEAL MY IDENTITY! IF YOU GET THIS CALL YOUR LOCAL BANK
I received three phone calls in a row right after midnight from someone reportedly from a local credit union saying that my debit card needed to be cancelled because it was used fraudulently and that I needed to call this number: 360-516-1896 I knew it was suspicious because no reputably financial institution would call after midnight to begin with, plus call and hang up twice before finally leaving a recorded message. Plus I don't have an account at the credit union, so I knew that was a red flag as well.
I got the same call @ 11:20 PM last night. I suspect they are calling at such a late hour as I would not normally answer a call marked unknown during regular hours. I was ready to rip someone's head off. Knew it was fraudulent. Mine said it represented Rockford Bell Credit Union. I got on their website and they had a fraud alert regarding bogus e-mails. I called them and told them of the phone call I received and reported the number. I don't have an account with them either.

We received an automated telephone call Friday, 7/25 at around 11 PM stating it was security from Rockford Credit Union and our cards had been suspended and we should immediately call 360-516-1896. When I called this number Monday, 7/28, there was a recorded message stating it was from the FTC stating this number was involved in a phishing scam for personal bank information. Reverse lookup identifies this number as a Silverdale, WA telephone number.
