I recently got a new phone number and apparently the person that had my phone number previously didn't find paying their bills to be terribly appealing. I called the number back and the message said something about being served a court summons. I dialed 0 to speak with the operator. She was very friendly and looked up my phone number. Indeed, they were trying to contact the person that previously had my number. She said that she would remove the number from their database. Haven't received a call from them since.
Called a few times in last week. Automated message system. Better Business Bureau lists National Debt Adjusters with a F grade. No response to disputes. If you hangup after hearing the message "..if you're not [debtor's name]" they will call back again and again.
I got a phone call from this number a couple times but did not awnser till the third call. She claimed she was a depth collection agency trying to collect a dept from rapid cash. DO NOT PAY THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE NOT REAL. She claimed I owed a different amount then what was borrowed. About 100$less. The only problem is the fact that I have already payed them back in full at the end of the month I borrowed and I have prof of payment out of my checking account.
