Male individual called to speak with me about my "recent automobile accident". When I Told the individual I had never been in an accident and that there was no reported accident on my behalf, I inquired about when this automobile claim was filed in which the man hung up on me.
I tried to call the number back and the 1st time I basically received an automated voice saying that the phone number was no longer in service. I called the number back A SECOND TIME about 5 minutes after the first attempt and then it rang 3 times, someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up.
this was an attempt at identity theft and definitely should be investigated ASAP before some poor individual falls victim to this very shady fraudulent attempt.
