I started receiving phone calls from this number 818-337-3050 this past Wednesday and I was headed out of State for work. I got calls starting on Thursday (no voicemails) from this number 305-529-6156 and then Friday, same number started calling and then I find out they'd called my workplaced on Friday and left a message.The voicemail was left by a guy on one message calling himself Shawn Carter and the next message he used Dustin Taylor; in the message VERY BROKEN ENGLISH and FOREIGN DIALECT stating that a company had turned my case over to them for collection and would be arresting me in the next 24 hours, if I did not return the money I had stolen from them. If I did not return the phone call immediately, then he would just wish me good luck, as the situation unfolded around me!!! I was SO CONFUSED!!!
I called the number back on Friday Night and a VERY foreign speaking WOMAN answered the phone...I did not even give her my name or anything and she said....you are _________ ________ and knew my name & last 4 of my SS#...this FREAKED ME OUT!!! She just started IN on me that I had defaulted on a payday loan and the company had decided not to renew it and were pressing charges, they already had an avadavit ready to arrest me. I told the lady I did NOT have a loan like that...she starts yelling at me, telling me the company had hired them (I asked WHAT COMPANY) she said I can't tell you that, they will meet you in court to settle it! You need to get ready to be arrested. I said "NO"! She kept yelling through the phone at me, that I knew what I had done and they had tracked me online, they knew I had stolen the money! MY BLOOD PRESSURE WAS BOILING!!!!!!!!!!
She puts me on hold and a FOREIGN speaking (barely could say an english word) gave me his name as "Dustin Taylor" which WE KNOW is NOT his name and he told me the same things. THEN told me if I didn't get to Wal-Mart and get a Recharge Voucher (they would not accept Cash/Check/Debit/Credit Card.....it had to be a voucher card with a 14 digit # on the back. Then I would FAX them the letter with the 14# number on it and they would give to the Loan Company and send me an notification within 24 hrs of receiving the $$. REALLY???????????
They thought I would FALL for that line??
I didn't send anything.....
Today, they have called all day Saturday and 26 TIMES TODAY ALONE!!!!! They started using another new number about the last 7 calls and it is the number above 360-529-4569 and I answered it was an ERIKA and she asked if I remembered talking to them on Friday Night...I said I sure do and I have REPORTED YOUR CREW to ALL THE STATE & NATIONAL AUTHORITIES and YOU will be getting what is coming to you!!! Told her I knew they were a SCAM & THEY were NOT to call me again. She started screaming in the phone. I hung up and immediately they started calling my phone back and I would just hit decline!!!
I have turned this over to PSC in our State and our State Atty Generals office.
THESE PPL have GOT TO BE STOPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
