They call 3-4 times per day. We shouldn't be in collections for anything, and if I answer they hang up. They asked for my husband yesterday and when I said he wasn't there, they said they'd call back, I hung up after that point. Not answering their calls any longer, though I'm annoyed constantly by the run to the phone...
This number calls 3-5 times per day. When I have answered, they seem to immediately hang up or leave dead air. Only once were they "there", a woman asked for my husband by his first name and refused to leave a message saying she'd call back (no duh! repeatedly!) - they're now calling early in the morning and late at night as well. We aren't in collections for any reason, but if they are connected with the local hospital for billing, I'm not surprised we are being scr*wed by these constant calls, since they're notoriously bad about correct billing. Just now recieved a bill (October) for an x-ray that occured in May.
I recieved a call from this number today ( April 13, 2012). A man with an East Indian accent knew my first name and went on to tell me how well our Demorcratic Legislature had done in balancing the budget. He went into detail as to how there were no cuts in the education buget etc., and asked if I would donate $100.00 - I don't know to what as I hung up on him.
He had my first name which really bothers me as I have an unlisted number. SInce his area code was the same as ours on Whidbey Island in Washington State I only answered thinking it may be a client.
As to the DNC list - I have registered with them over the years time and time again - even our cell phones. It does not appear to have worked!
I suggest, after reading several of these posts with the same phone number and different issues, that no one answers a call from this number.
How about this...each of us call our phone carrier - give them this number and let them figure out where they are coming from. After all, they have the technology and we are paying for our phone service!!!
I received a call from this number as well (April 17, 2012) and the caller (gave his name as David Jenson or something similar to that) said that he was representing a particular Democrat's campaign. He gave quite a bit of background info on this candidate and their stands and how they differ from the Republican candidate's policies. He then asked for a donation of $100. I said that I did not donate over the phone and I didn't have any money. He then started in with more pressure and suggested a $50 donation for the candidate using my Visa or MC card. I continued to say "No" and then hung up on him. I contacted the office of the person he claimed to be calling for and they said that there was no way anyone from their office made such a call, nor would they use such tactics, and told me that after Googling this number, found that it has been used for numerous scams. The caller knew my first name as well. The unfortunate thing is that they have probably been successful with some of the victims they call. I never give info or money over the phone.
