A call from Microsoft? Not in my lifetime. I'm in the US. I have caller ID, but it showed "out of area".
My caller was Asian, with such a thick accent, I almost hung up on him. Not because he was Asian, but because his English was literally painful to hear. I made him spell out everything he said (he was losing his patience)..
"Melitious virus," he said. Directed me to go to RUN: and type "e v e n t v w r "
I thought about trying it on an old disused computer which was not connected to the net. Don't have the time. Came here instead. Would like to know, but I'm not good enough to go head to head with these guys. Would like to hear from someone who is. I'd love to "spike" their PC/Mac like they do in movies and melt down their motherboard combined with an electric shock strong enough to knock them on their [***]..
i answered and some guy started talking about malicous software that could corrupt my computer and cause the dreaded "blue sreen of death". i told him i knew how to fix that type of problem and he hung up. he must have been trying to sell me a anti-virus software or something like that..
called my cell and claim there is a law suit against me from cash advanced. They would not or could not provide any more info without us giving any info. They sound like foreigners from india. Very rude!! Supposed detective working on "our case" from India too!!

I asked him my s.s and he said he couldn't revival that over the phone. I told him I could revile my Badge number and he hung up.. Would can we report these a__ h___ too.
This person called me claiming to be from Microsoft telling me I have many viruses on my computer that he wanted to help get rid of, by going onto my computer and "working on it".
