Listen up..Here's the deal.. These people are scammers, i.e. criminals. The DNC is to provide a list of those who do not wish to receive telemarketing (Telephone-Sales) Calls from legitimate companies who do a splendid job in abiding by this list. When we get these harassing calls, it is most often from scammers, or even legitimate organizations who are exempt from the DNC List.(such as political, surveys, non profit, charities, etc.) The DNC and nothing else can offer protection from those who want to call you whether is legal or not. It only helps keep the honest.....honest. The DNC does not immunize anyone from calls from thieves, criminals or anyone wishing to ignore the list of people. The DNC does not automatically block anyone from calling you. It is not mechanical. It is a list of people...who do not want telemarketing calls. It's like putting a "Do Not Rob" sign on the front door of a Bank. Somebody's gonna Rob it and you can't blame the sign. The DNC is there to reduce the number of LEGAL Companies making telemarketing calls, that you would be be getting if you were not on the list. Think how often your telephone would ring if not only the scammers, thieves, and crooks were calling you daily, but legal, legitimate, and honest companies who were searching for new business through telephone-marketing. Millions and mIllions of new companies would be unleashed on us, totally un-restrained. I personally hate all of the calls as much as anyone else, but I understand that there is nothing magic about the DNC. It is a system that was intended to help citizens in a manner that was the most practical and least costly, in providing names to legitimate companies..not to call. No one ever had any illusions that it would work for the scammers and those who did not wish to follow the peoples Request not to call them. For the tremendous amount of expectations, demands and accountability given to it, it does a pretty good job. Go to the DNC site when you have an opportunity and learn what it does and does not do. It does benefit and It's worth reading..
