I got the same exact call and I did press 1 bc I get so tired of these calls. Some guy with an accent answered and started telling me they could lower my cc interests bc I pay my cc every month. I asked him what cc's and he said on my Visa and Master Card(hummm) and so I asked what name do you have this under and they replied..It was my 75 year old mother's name! Mother has NO cc's at all. He decided he didn't want to talk to me,so I put mother on the phone.He started telling her the same as me and she asked him what this was about and he hung up.... Is this another'Scam the Elderly"?
Caller ID is Customer Svc. Its a landline in Silverdale WA. ACORN based DNC SCAM. They want your credit card info to skim off money for the Obama campaign. Three felons have been runing this scam for years.
I'm so tired of getting these calls. So many companies don't pay attention to the Do No Call Registry because no one seems to be enforcing their compliance (there's a great form of JOB CREATION!!). I'm surprised some attorneys haven't jumped on this for class action law suits...seems like there are a lot of them these days.
I've gotten to the point I usually answer and hang up right away. Today I answered with two words - the second one being "off" and hung up. No idea if it was a person or a computer - but frankly don't give a....
