Missed call from the number, automated recording repeating the number. I called back and a gentleman who did not speak English well and was hard to understand. He asked for me to verify my name and I told him they called me and I was not going to verify and information. He immediately had me write down his "name and officer of number" and continued to pressure for my information. He then informed me that he was with the "IRS" and I had a law suit being filed against me, there was a problem with my taxes, and I was being audited. The man would not stop talking over me (obviously an officer of the state does that) and when he wouldn't let me talk I finally yelled over him telling him he is not getting any information with him and continued to ask for another number to call and said I will have my husband call. He then got very angry and told me I was going to be arrested in a few hours. Obviously not happy I wasn't taking the scam. Called my husband immediately, apparently he just received the same type of call the other day. Called again, another foreign voice saying his name was officer Adams. SCAM.
This is the second call that I received today from the so called IRS. It was a recorded woman's voice but this was a different number than I received earlier today. I have no tax issues and in the past when I did,I received notification by mail
I got the same call today as well. Recorded woman's voice saying final notice of a lawsuit against me and to call the number (360-663-4361). But no mention of my name, etc. And I have not received anything in the mail.
