I just received a call stating that they could lower my interest rate - red flags went off when she asked for the pin on the back of my card. I immediatly called my credit card company and they explained that there are scams going on right now stating that they can lower interest rates - he also explained that this is legal due to the fact that people are giving them all the info that they need - with doing this there could also be a fee from $800 and up - by giving them your info is concidered authorization for charges. Please beware!!!!
I've received several calls from various numbers from "card holder services" apparently an identity theft enterprise of some kind. When I ask who they really are they hang up.
