Called on 09/18/2013 @ 10:51 AM from Marysville, WA. No message left. Washington State especially (360) is the hotbed of scam callers. We answer nothing we don't recognize.
I would be concerned about these calls. Think about this - if you don't have a home security system and decide to give these people your business, a sign may be sent to you and while you are waiting for them to send you the system and install it, you are a target for burglars. What if this "company" sold a listing of new customers to crooks and then your house becomes a target because you don't have a security system. If they are legit and do install a system, they say the sign is free and the system is free. How much is monthly monitoring going to cost you and how long is the contract? Finally, the opt out key just confirms you are a live human and they compile the numbers of live people to be sold to other telemarketers. The best way to get peace and quiet is to play an Out of Service intercept recording over and over again when they call until they hang up. They mark your number as bad and the computer removes your number from the system. The FTC Do Not Call List does not work. Don't post on here asking to remove your number either. Neither will help you. Good luck!
If you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the
FCC and FTC: <http://www.fcc.gov/complaints> http://www.fcc.gov/complaints
and <https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx>
https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. If they
receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send
information on how to file a lawsuit. If enough of us file and win, that
should have an impact. What a great revenge, earning money FROM them!
Information on their website says the FCC have shut down several of these
scams.
