Just got a call. Pretty sure it's a scam. If the government has money for you, you would get written confirmation. And if you have not applied for anything, then they surely wouldn't be calling you on the phone to give away "free" money. IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS......
I just received the same call from a NY # 646 560-3180.....directing me to call back the 360 780-3796 with the same rhetoric as above.....i qualified for an $8,000 grant from the govt.....what govt? Cause the caller was clearly not from this country.....lol
They just contacted me as well saying to call this number back. It was a guy named "Eric Jones" with a thick foreign accent stating the same thing about the "once in a lifetime" government grant check for $8,000 dollars. I never called the number because I figured that it was a scam.
feeling like this is a scam. they said it was a chance for a $8,000 grant.
I thought it was weird because they had deep accents and loud noises in the background of the call.
I dont think the gov't would be giving me money this way, especially without anything written.
