They tell you to use greendot money cards because no one can trace back to who it was sent to or its untraceable those a holes are a bunch of lazy [***] who scam people who dont know about this scam.
Only left partial recorded, but with a threatening tone, message. Threatening a California resident over the phone is against California state law. Apparently this is an IRS 2016 phone scam; the IRS will never call individuals and ask for personal information.
THIS NUMBER IS AN IRS SCAM. First they cannot speak English very well, that's the first clue, then they will claim you owe the IRS back taxes but you know you have not received any documentation, they will lie and say they sent it, then they will tell you that you are being recorded by the IRS, your local sheriff and the coat house (court house) now you know that's 3 lies, the IRS never calls in this manner, your local sheriff does not handle monitoring calls for the irs, if you think its true, just call your local police and ask them, they will tell you its a scam, and also, if they tell you you have a warrant, ask the real police and if they tell you that you have to go to court, call your county clerks office and ask if your name is on the docket. itsTHESE SCAMMERS ARE NOT SOPHISTICATED at all, when they first opened their mouth, I knew they were lying. They told me I would be arrested in one hour if I didn't send them a green dot money pack for $800 for my back taxes, first of all, I didn't owe any back taxes and if I did, the IRS would not call they would send a certified letter. Also the scammers said I could not use my checking account or credit cards as my name was red flagged, then he tells me I must go to the bank and withdraw 800 cash and put it on the green dot and give him the numbers to stop my arrest warrant. Such a lie, and I lead him on a bit and then I told him NO, I would not do it and he said, ok they will be at your house in thirdie, not thirty minutes to drag me to court, and I would be in jail 72 hours and have to hire a criminal attorney and then the IRS would sue me for $35,000 and I would go to jail for 3 years meanwhile the IRS would take my social security number, and I don't know how you do that, then he said they would tell my employer, take my wages, my car, my house and any accounts I had. and I said, your lying, the IRS would not do all of that for $800.00 and I said if I owe $800.00 they would just take it from the $4500 that they owe me because I just filed my returns. He then told me to suck his **** and he hung up.
They will tell you that you owe back taxes and they have no proof. They will want you to stay on the line with them until you go to the bank withdraw thousands of dollars in cash and then have you ride all over town buying green dot money cards or send by western union the cash to them ..do it and you are a fool, they are liars and thieves. if you owed the irs they would not call you and threaten arrest they would contact you by certified mail. the scammers will tell you they sent letters but you did not respond. NEVER PAY ANYONE BECAUSE THEY CALL YOU DEMANDING MONEY, you demand proof by way of documentation first. ITS A BIG SCAM, hang up if they call
They are from India or Pakistan claiming to be from the IRS and you owe back taxes. They have no proof, but will threaten that you will be arrested in one hour if you don't go send them a moneygram. They will also tell you not to tell anyone about this and you must stay on the phone with them until the moneygram is sent or you will be arrested and your case will be automatically downloaded to the court house. ITS A BUNCH OF BULL, don't fall for it, waste their time like I did. But remember the IRS will not call you demanding moneygram payments. If you think you owe taxes just call the real IRS or go to IRS.gov and read about this scam. They told me to pay and I refused and they said the local sheriff would be over in one hour to arrest me and drag me to the courthouse and I'm still waiting that was 3 weeks ago. lol
