Thank you, above, for giving me the direct number for this company. I called, and did talk to MAE. She was pretty nice, I didn't sense a "soulless-ness" lol...I asked her to remove the number, she said it was just an issue of a recycled number ( I just got this number). She apologized, was nice about it...I won't hold a grudge unless they call again. And then it will be ON, haha!
I've had actual dealings c these people, going to their office making arrangements for a debt I do own. Unfortunately, my health has taken a turn for the worse, and I'm back to where I started. Trying to deal c them on the phone has always proved,..difficult. I ignore the calls, and will visit the office in the near future. BUT I'm both blocking their number, and talking to an Attny. re: bankrupcy.
Called and asked for someone with a name similar to my husband's. I asked again who they were calling for. They asked what the name is of the person who lives here. I told them they called me and it's none of their business and would they like me to take a message.
They told me it was a personal call. I told them it can't be that personal if they don't know who they are calling. The guy was a jerk and eventually hung up on me.
I'm assuming they're looking for someone who owes them money, but it's surely not us. We don't carry debt, and have just recently pulled reports from all 3 agencies. I'm assuming they're looking for someone with a similar or same name as my husband so they're chasing every opening they see. They've called again but I haven't answered.
I don't trust this company. They have called multiple times, and don't have correct name. They are fishing for names and info that are not correct to the person that lives here.
When I tried to talk to them and ask them to contact me about the (supposed) debt via mail, they hung up.
I think this may be a scammer, not a legit credit agency. If it was, they would want to talk to me.
