When you get the check, turn it over to your local postmaster so it can be sent to the USPS Postal Inspectors for a mail fraud investigation. Before that, expect to be pestered by texts asking "did you get it yet?"
"Lizzy Parry" just texted me today re: a room I have for rent on Craig's List. Of course, I have had problems with other scammers trying to get my personal info do they can mail me a "Check" and rent my room "sight unseen" so I knew I ALWAYS google names and numbers and low and behold, I find that there is a whole community of people online that have received similar messages! Please! BE WARY of people! TRUST must be EARNED NOT given! We no longer live in the HONEST society of our parents and grandparents! And the internet makes it SO EASY to prey on unsuspecting people!
