My father got 2 phone calls that the IHEART IRS was taking going to sue him!

There is a widespread IRS (or CRA) or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both USA and Canadian residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

Got a recorded message from this number saying IRS was filing a lawsuit against me, to call back for "case file information",  Everyone should note:  the IRS NEVER CALLS!  They send certified mail.
This is most likely a scam, probably trying to get personal info for identity theft.

Received a call from 360-851-4838 and said this is the final call.  IRS is filing a lawsuit against you.  Call back this number.  I did not call back.
