Started receiving these calls right after I purchased a new Ford. I've never answered it and they've never left a voice message. Called back today - sure enough was someone wanting to sell me more auto warranty ON MY KIA! What the? Told them to take me off their call list.
I received this call at 11:47 on 4/10/2015. A man said he was from the "Seattle Protection Agency" (I think) and was speaking very quickly. He didn't use my name so I assume he didn't know it. He told me something about my 2013 Nissan Altima, I didn't quite catch it, but then began to ask me questions about it like how many miles were on it so he could "fix the problem." I told him I didn't own a Nissan Altima (which is true). He said he was sorry and would "take care of that very quickly", and hung up before I got another word in.
Called 4 times this morning over the course of about 90 min. while I was out. No message. Two of the calls showed Port Angeles and the other 2 show V with a long list of numbers. .
Didn't answer the call and caller did not leave a message. Called number back and automated voice states "please stay on the line while we transfer you to the next available agent" ... and then nothing. This is probably a scam caller.
Its a phishing scam trying to sell warranties for newly purchased cars. They look up the sales transactions in the public record and hope you don't know the status of your policy.
Received a call from this # this a.m.(early). Didn't answer since I didn't recognize the #. Don't know how they got my # since it's non-published!!! Said Port Angeles, WA on called ID.
