Seems like they can do anything they want once they have your SSN and employers name - assigning anything they want to as a "debt". I don't answer any of 'em, they're all data miners as far as I'm concerned...
I've gotten calls from this # off & on for a few years now. In fact just the other day. A couple years ago I called back to see who answered, & I think it's some sort of collection agency. But currently I don't owe anything, so I don't know why they have recently called me.
