Got this call at 1:35pm ... Signaled ALERT and I answered (as I usually do) but said nothing. Dead silence from the other end and then a hangup. Then I blocked the number.
Also received a call today from this number. My guess is it's the credit card scammers. They also use 361 271-4868 from Corpus Christi. I've gotten several calls from that number. Seems like there should be a way to put these crooks out of business. The DNC list certainly isn't working.
Caller ID says "Alert". Wonder how many people out there are fool enough to answer a call like that? Must be a lot, I keep seeing it... Might as well say Crook!
