I have received 2 voice mails also saying the caller is Tracy Harvey from Kruchow (spelling?) Intervention and they have a pending case with my name on it. "I need to hear from either you or your attorney on record today or your case will be passed on for litigation. Govern yourself accordingly". My answer is... bite me! what a crock of bulls%$t.
Yep, that is what it is. The "govern yourself accordingly" crooks are well known here.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Received two calls stating that they were Pre-Trial Diversion group and needed to talk to me or my attorney of record today. This service buys old closed collection files and tries to illegally squeeze money from consumers. It is a fraud usually stemming from a payday loan or something similar.
I thought it was a scam but it turned out not to be I served 120 days in jail and it cost me more money than what they were offering me to settle out of court..
