Just received this. They left a voicemail. They we 'giving away' emergency beepers in case you fall and can't get up! Not sure of their honesty as I'm the only one to check it here. I'm just. afraid that older folks may give information to them, as medicare/medicaid number, social security, name among other things. Sounds like just another scam. However, I don't know without calling them back and I will not do that! It came from Salt Lake City, Utah
This number called my 87 year old grandmother and stated they were from medic alert trying to sell her a medical alert system. Luckily she contacted my dad and my dad contacted me all while this man was still on the phone. I handle my grandmothers finances and all I had was her checking acct information and he would only take a credit card....immediate red flag! He is supposed to call me back tomorrow to finish the "sale" and I really hope he does so I can give him a piece of my mind! If these crooks spent as much time trying to make a honest living as they do trying to steal from little old people they wouldn't have to be horrible thieves!!
