Illegal threat - and scare tactic. A quick search shows up nothing under that name. Jail/arrest will not happen even if you did owe money. Give your state attorney general's office a call.
Got a call from Malissa said 2 counts against me for a Payday loan in 2013 (never had a payday loan) I encouraged her to prosecute me to the fullest...lol
Got the same message also. I called back and asked for the name of their company and why a Google search showed they were a scam. This lady said it was because they were a new company and they don't have enough information? She then said she couldn't discuss anything else and hung up.
Scam scam scam. I've had scammers try to use some variation of this pending legal action nonsense on me for years now. The first time I got a call like this, I was very scared and upset. But now I just roll my eyes and delete the voicemail.
