Called my cell phone today. I didn't answer. I called it back from my work phone (which will show a generic#) and it just said that all of the reps were busy and that if I had received a call from them that they would be calling me back in the next day. Or I could press 5 to be added to their 'do not call' list. No company name was given.
I have been receiving many calls from out of state numbers from a 'home security' business that wants permission to put a sign up in my yard. I just hang up.
Received a call on my cell phone and answered, it was a robocall (that was a recording of a real person trying to sound convincing that she was actually on the line) trying to get me to extend my car warranty. When I said "remove from call list" the call immediately disconnected.
