I also got the same message and phone call. I'm from Finland. I didn't answer the call because I saw it coming from another country. I was a little bit confused about it.
If another device attempted to verify your registered Whatsapp telephone number, especially within the same day, they give you a code through this number to verify your number and account... I was switching phones earlier today and I had to answer the call from this number to get the reverify code... It's a security measure.
Got a call from this number last night at 12:30 am....not impressed as we were sound asleep. We don't have anything to do with whatsapp in the first place. Super ticked.
