Received a message saying the IRS is filing a law against me and when I called back some foreigner that barely in speaks English asked my name and address then said the police were going to come to my house and arrest me for false filing on my taxes. Well since HR Block does my taxes I'm sure thIs is a scam or something. I've never had an audit done but I'm sure they don't threaten to come to your house and arrest you.
I had the same experience as Amanda above, claiming that the IRS had a lawsuit against me. I played along and told the caller that I was calling back from the police department in my area. The foreign speaking young man said, "Then b#$%h .... at which time I continued playing along and told him i was going to lay the phone down so the phone call could be traced. In the meantime, my daughter opened her police scanner program on her phone and played it to the speaker of my phone. The guy just sat there listening. I let him know the trace was complete and hung up.
