Called this am. Caller ID shows Katherine Cruz. Said it was to help with my energy cost since electric bills going up. He identified himself as William. Reported this to FTC complaint system. Don't know if it will do any good. such scammers!!!
Another energy scammer. Want to come to my house to do an energy audit, due to upcoming rate increases. Total crap! Florida Power & Light has the lowest rates in the country. Even decreased rates this past year. LOSERS!
I recieved a call from this number on 8/82015. It said Katerine Cruz on the caller ID. She said that my electric bill was going to go up by about $100 next month and that if I let her technician come into my home and help me access my energy usage they would give me a 35% discount on my future bills. She said the more electricity I use the more I will save. She said they would be in my area next week but that appointments were going fast. I asked if they were from Florida Power and Light and she said "yes" and that the technicians would have ID's on them. She was pushy and I booked an appointment. She then put me through to somone else to confirm the appointment and he wanted to know if I was under the age of 75, had a mortgage, had backcruptcy against me, or had done anything to improve my energy costs. He gave told me to call 888-407-6879 if I had any questions. I called Florida Power and Light and they said this is not them and that they do no call customers and go out and access energy usage. The only time they go to a home is if a customer calls them with an issue. When I called the number to cancel my appointment no-one was available to take my call. I feel this is a scam and please do not let these people in your home or give any personal information out.
