Automated call that stated that this was the last chance to extend my vehicle's auto warranty.
I pressed "1" to speak to a live operator.
I asked the operator what vehicle they were calling about. I was told it was my most recent vehicle. I also was told since it had already had an expired warranty the vehicle information was not in the database for my security. I was then asked to give them my vehicle's VIN #
They new my name, phone # and address which could be found in any phone book but may mislead others that it is a legitimate call.
I asked the name of the company and was told it was "Warranty Division Center"
I asked where it was located and I was told Florida but that she was in the Atlanta Call center. I asked for her address and she said she did not know it. I then asked for a supervisor and she put me on hold before I was disconnected.
I would suggest avoiding doing business with this company and not providing any information about you.
I answered - they put me on hold to speak to a live person. It was regarding my vehicle. They asked me name. ??? He called out the wrong name, then got it right. Then went on to discuss the warranty that expired on my vehicle. Then asked for my VIN#. This guy was a complete [***] to think I was giving him any more info. Clearly a scam of sorts.
A machine began talking about something to do with our automobile warranty expiring. We hung up without ever trying to talk with a live person.Caller ID showed 1-386-437-4750.
