Same thing happened to me.  Wanted to skype by first name.

Same thing, texted me by first name, and asked to be added on Skype to chat

Looks as if they address you by your first name on Facebook. My name is Regina, but my FB name is Gina.  That's how this person addressed me, and gave me the skype ID of littlefish_008 . So avoid this number and Skype ID at all costs.
