They also use a 407 area code. Mine came up with Starnet Inc Orl, and if you google that name it brings up another 800notes. Other posters have said it is a dail up internet company, and many said if they answer no one is on the other line. My phone showed a voice mail but they didn't leave a message. The do not call list is not very effective.
Claims I owed money for MAGAZINES. $700.00 & They would accept $319.00 as a settlement. I told him to "GO TO HELL" & hung up. Who would buy $700 worth of magazines? This is the dumbest scam I ever heard.
In any case, Starnet Inc Orl is not just a Dial Up Internet service. It's Telemarketing & Collections.
Magazine collectors just wont stop. Pretty bad they called me at my work and was selling me subscribtion over the phone in 2002.They said pay 18 a month for 6 diffrent magazine subscribitions for 36 months and get the following 36 months free. I paid this for a year until I could not pay for it anymore.I was out on strike dispute at work. They started calling me and i said stop sending me the magazines.They finally did but recevied a bill for $500 dollars. I refuse to pay it and was not getting magazines no more and already paid 200 for 6 magaizine subscribitions.Pretty much paying full price for every magazine. I went Chapter 7 BK in 2010 and they are still trying to collect with about 5 different collection agency.Pretty sad give up. I think after 10 years the debt is not valid to pay bye the collector anymore?
