Guy with heavy accent named Steve Martin says treasury dept. is investigating me and I should call him back to discuss. Threatening with "final notice", etc. I think they called twice.
I answered because I thought it might be a relative who lives in Florida. It was a woman with a heavy accent that I could barely make out (probably from India) talking about a promotion of some sort. I hung up.
I have Whitepages ID app on phone. Shows this number was from Mathew R. Short from Gainesville, VA. Says it is a scam or fraud call. Internet search for this name and number says he's registered to vote in Florida. ??? Did not answer.
I received a call from this number saying I won a free vacation from shopping. I told him I did not fill anything out for a vacation. He had a thick Indian accent and said his name was Sam Parker.
