I filled out a "survey" at the Daytona home show for a $50 gift card at Bass Pro Shop. Robbie called saying he "might" have good news for me. Verified my short survey answers, then said I was selected for a Bahama Cruise. I told him no. He tried to push. I told him no again. He thanked me, then said I was still entered to win the $50 gift card. I normally don't do this, but we have a new Bass Pro Shop in town, so thought it was legit. Silly me. It seems that many booths at these shows are not who they imply they are. I'll block this and the other number he told me to call (386-233-9277)
Simple solution. Send them a certified, return receipt stop calling letter and demand that they furnish you with the written do not call policy they are required to have to to furnish upon request by law. Then when they call again, sue them for $500 per call, possible treble damages.
