Like a previous poster, I got a "Hello" text. I replied but when she(?) said "I'm April", I told her(?) I don't know any April, sorry, and that I don't text people I don't know. Before I blocked her(?) she replied "jerk".
Same, "Hello" text. I stayed at a camp ground in Daytona. That's the only person who would have my number. That said, I changed my number a few weeks ago so this might just be a prankster. That's mild, the word prankster. maybe a sorry assed loser in life. Don't feed them any more info.
We get phone calls from all over. They use local phone numbers to look "local" but they are not. Bet the phone company can't find her as it's probably routed around a few times.
I'm not sure but by "blocking her" are we giving her reason to believe that our number is good now that she's blocked? When you text back, it's telling the little $#it that your number is a good number and they can then try other phone numbers used for this purpose. Don't text her back. Block her but what are the alternatives? Nothing else we can do.
Forward unwanted text messages to 7726 so that your carrier will block them. Some carriers do not accept that code and if that is the case then contact your carrier about how to block unwanted text messages. Also, never, ever click on a link as it will probably install something nasty to your phone that you really will not want to deal with.
