This unknown fraud shop pestered me the morning of 25 May 2017. My Caller ID CNAM read "West View Healt". Hardly a surprise, this is not from a health care provider but yet another soundboard for travel sales, featuring an excessively caffeinated little bimbo voice actress whose perky squeals and half-chuckles make my toenails recede. She gushes about the great and cheap vacation she can arrange for "your family". Then come the inevitable qualifiers, but not yet mentioning "credit card", which is sure to come. This outfit was smart enough to have two different versions of the same prod for response, to better simulate a human, while still failing the Turing Test.
partial transcript, due to the dialer not waiting for my voice mail greeting to finish:
"... ee rate which has *never been done* before. And yew an' yer family will get an *entire vacation* for *seventy-five percent* off the retail reet! *AND* you can choose yer travel dates *any time* within the next eighteen months. And if *THAT* wasn't great enough, qualified travelers [pause] will receive a compliment'ry bonus gift as well. So, I just need to ask a few questions to see if you *qualify*, okay? [pause] Ohhh, I'm so sorry, I jist didn't hear that last part, I just need to ask you a few questions to see if you qualify, is that okay? The third prompt for response is precisely the same audio clip as the first, minus the "so". Just to be clear, the board op kept pushing for a reply the character did not "hear" because there was total silence from my end. My voice mail greeting was long done. These operators are supposed to be monitoring for this stuff, but the soundboards permit them to handle multiple calls at a time, leading to utter nonsense errors.
This is all similar in format to other soundboard-driven travel sales calls heard in the past couple years, making use of different pushy characters. Naturally for this one I lack a business name or any other identifier for law enforcement.
