It's the infamous IRS scam. Please spam them, (with anonymity, of course), till they give up trying to screw us over. I called them back twice and two different people picked up; both sounded like they were from the Greater India area.
This number has called me twice this morning, leaving messages that they are from the IRS and that I need to call them back because they have started a lawsuit against me.
I came home from work with two messages from this number telling there is a lawsuit against me with the IRS. So I am trying to call this number back and all I get is a busy signal. Not funny who ever is doing this.
This is a phone scam which has been going on for 2 years nationally. even made the NBC nightly national news earlier this year. The calls from 401-214-0932 are coming from a foreign country (the news showed scammers in India being led away in handcuffs) though other countries are also involved. The best answer is 'don't answer' if you see the # on your caller ID and also to block the number if you have the capability and/or the know-how.
